Being a big fat loser is a good thing.
And it’s easier than you think. It takes a little discipline and patience. There are no “magic” pills or powders. Slow and steady wins the race.
Here are some tips:
1. Reduce portion sizes
This is a big one because portion sizes in the U.S. have steadily increased over the years. You should eat smaller meals more frequently. Less food more often is the key to keeping your blood sugar level throughout the day and preventing your body from building its fat stores.
2. Never go hungry - it will slow your metabolism
Starving yourself to lose weight results in “yo-yo” dieting. Your metabolism slows down and as soon as you begin eating normally again your weight shoots up to where it was or higher. This tip goes along with tip number one - eat frequent but small meals throughout the day.
3. Eat breakfast
Research shows that eating more early in the day helps in weight loss and in keeping the weight off. Kids that eat breakfast do better in school. Eating your largest meal early in the day gives your body all day to burn it off.
4. Never eat after 8 P.M.
These is related to the tip above. You don’t want to eat within a few hours of going to sleep. Your body won’t need much fuel and will store the food you’ve eaten as fat.
