One of the hottest diet plans right now is the Shifting Calories Method invented by FatLoss4Idiots.com. As they note on their site low calorie diets don’t work in the long run because your body adjusts its metabolism downward so it burns fewer calories each day. The grocery store is full of “low fat” and “no fat” food yet people continue to gain weight. So low fat diets aren’t working. And low carb diets leave you feeling unsatisfied and hungry. 95% of diets fail because they are based on reducing the amount of calories you eat each day. This results in your metabolism slowing down. So though you may lose weight when you begin you end up gaining it all back.
The Shifting Calories Method has you change what you eat from one day to the next. The Shifting Calories Method claims to keep your metabolism high so your body burns more fat. You don’t starve yourself. In fact, with this diet you’ll probably be eating more than you would normally. But because you keep switching what you eat, your body can’t get complacent, lower its metabolism and build its fat stores.
And because you keep changing what you eat, you don’t get bored like when you’re on other diets. You don’t have to restrict yourself to specific food groups or avoid eating certain ones.
So it’s easier to stick to the Shifting Calories Method. You won’t go hungry or have cravings for food groups. Of course you can’t eat junk food but you do eat carbs, proteins, fruits, and vegetables. You create menus based on foods that you like.
The Fat Loss 4 Idiots program includes a menu generator which produces a personal menu for each user. You enter the food you like, the menu generator takes into account your preferences so you eat the food you like, and it shifts it around. The generated menus are comprised of 4 meals a day so you’re never hungry. That makes this plan easier to stick with and easier to keep off the weight you lose.
Meal plans are 11 days in length. The site says you’ll lose 9 lbs during each 11 day cycle. Between each 11 days you get to take three days off to indulge in pizza, chocolate, or whatever you’re craving.
